- Home Assistant Green uses 32 GB eMMC, and the official HAOS VM guide also uses a 32 GB default virtual disk example. That is a reference point, not a universal capacity rule. SSD storage is a practical upgrade for larger recorder history, backups, databases and companion services.
- Network and radios
- Use reliable wired Ethernet when possible. ZimaBoard 2 and ZimaCube 2 do not list built-in Zigbee, Thread or Z-Wave coordinators, so those protocols require compatible USB or network radio hardware.

- Home Assistant OS is the recommended installation type and supports Home Assistant apps and managed updates. Official minimum requirements

Maybe I am not digital natives but I live with PCs since 12 years old in 1984 when IBM PC clone come to my home. Many years have passed and many operating system I've tried. I use ZimaCube Pro as 5th Proxmox cluster node. It runs several VMs and containers, including a VM with GPU passthrough to run a self-hosted LLM. A specific LXC container runs a Samba server for NAS capabilities using four of six RAID 6 SATA HDDs with ZFS.
