What RST_SW and PWR_SW Do

The community explanation says momentarily shorting the RST_SW pair resets a running board, while PWR_SW behaves like a normal PC power switch. That is consistent with standard motherboard switch headers: they are intended for a momentary switch, not for feeding them voltage.

Use a simple momentary switch across the confirmed pair. Do not connect those pins to 12V, 5V or an ATX power rail.

Why the Old JDCIN Voltage Advice Needs a Warning

In 2024, forum users described JDCIN as a 12V input and one user built a cable from an ATX SATA 12V line. The thread also warned that direct DC input bypasses some protection and that damage could be considered user-caused.
