Restart Plex or the container and confirm the new path remains mounted, the same items play, and a scan does not recreate duplicates. That restart is the persistence test for the fix.
Stop Before a Rebuild Unless State Is Truly Unrecoverable
A library rebuild should be the last resort because it can discard useful matching, watch, or organizational state. Most path changes can be resolved by restoring visibility and reconciling the library in place.
