Can ZimaBoard 2 Run a Retro Gaming Station?

Yes. In this test, ZimaBoard 2 ran RetroPie on Ubuntu and delivered the expected 50 or 60 frames per second in most of the tested systems. Why Storage Matters More Than CPU Performance

Processing power was not the limiting factor in this project. The 32GB eMMC was. Early cartridge and home-computer games can be measured in kilobytes or a few megabytes, but later CD- and DVD-based systems can require hundreds of megabytes or several gigabytes per title. Video-heavy arcade games and large multi-system collections can increase storage needs even further.
