The current Google Play listing describes Zima Client as a mobile management interface for monitoring server status, running deployed applications, and reviewing files. Recent release notes now mention synced Recent files, faster folder updates, previews/local opening, improved photo backup actions, better device switching, and app recovery.
That makes it inaccurate to reuse the April 2026 feedback as a current “Zima Client cannot search or manage files” statement.
Android Has Advanced Beyond 1.3.0
The official Google Play app was updated again in September 2026. Its current changelog includes continuing work on device connections, file syncing, media playback, photo backup, and app recovery.

The current Play Store description says that Connect via Remote ID creates an encrypted, user-initiated tunnel through Android VpnService and only routes traffic required for access to the user's ZimaOS device/private network.
This remote-access behavior should be distinguished from ordinary same-LAN device discovery.
The Current Client Has Expanded into Photo Browsing
Current IceWhale documentation now describes photo libraries loaded directly from ZimaOS onto phones and tablets with grid, waterfall, and justified preview modes. This is substantially beyond the simple media-preview headline in the 1.3.0 beta announcement.
