My current setup involves a refurbished ThinkCentre running FreeBSD with an SSD RAID for Home Assistant and other services. But since it can’t add more storage without hitting USB roadblocks, I started looking for other options. With ZimaCube, I plan to create an SSD array for VMs, quick-access storage for photos, and spinning disks for long-term storage.
