Why the Linux Mint Boot Menu May Ignore Input
The user could launch the Linux Mint installer in ZVM but could not interact with its boot menu. The community identified early-boot console focus and keyboard handling as the first things to test.
Click the Console and Use the Keyboard
Click once inside the VM console before pressing keys. The Mint boot menu is keyboard-driven: use arrow keys to move and Enter to select. If one browser does not pass key events correctly, test another browser before rebuilding the VM.
Try Basic Graphics and Simple VM Display Settings
If input works but boot freezes after selection, the thread recommends compatibility/basic graphics mode, UEFI firmware, default/VNC display and no GPU passthrough during installation. Linux Mint provides current installation media through its official download page.
Verify the ISO Before Reconfiguring Everything
