Shipping & updates

The ZimaBoard 2 is currently available for pre-order. As a brand-new product still in production — and with the current peak season and tight factory schedule — the shipping timeline is slightly longer than usual.

Based on the latest update, shipments are expected to begin in October. We'll keep everyone informed with any updates along the way.

FAQ

1. What's included in the box?

If you purchase a ZimaBoard 2 832 or 1664 model, you'll receive:

1* ZimaBoard 2 with pre-installed ZimaOS
1* 12 V / 5 A power adapter
1* SATA Y-cable

2. Can I build a NAS with it?

Absolutely! With just a cable and a drive, ZimaBoard 2 becomes a compact personal NAS. ZimaOS simplifies RAID setup, file sync, and app deployment in minutes.

3. What else do I need to complete a NAS setup?

You're covered with board and power, but you'd likely want:

Hard drives or SSDs for storage
Optional: A cooling fan
Optional: PCIe NVMe card for faster storage or expansion
Good power adapter (12V / 5A included) – supports up to two HDDs. If you plan to connect more drives or external devices, we recommend using a 12V / 10A adapter for extra headroom and stable performance.
Network cable and Ethernet switch
Case or enclosure (for airflow), you can 3D print one or consider using our rack tray.
